For instance spending time with family and friends. Human interactions and relationships are at the core of good mental care. At times we need to talk, cry, find ways to laugh and play, or ask friends and family for encouragement. We’re all vulnerable, and we all need support at different times. Another alternative is talk therapy. Talk therapy has proven an effective alternative to drugs and teaches life-long coping skills. Patients treated with talk therapy have fewer relapses than those treated with medicine. Exercising is another alternative that may restrict the use of drugs. According to “Frontiers in Psychiatry” it shows that regular physical activity is the best long-term treatment for individuals that suffer towards drugs. It focuses and calms the mind, burns fat and excess energy, tones muscles, strengthens bone, improves heart and lung function, and best of all, it makes you feel good. Last but not least, staying busy and occupied might change your act of the daily use of drugs. Doing something you believe in can give meaning to everyday life. Working to change social, economic or other injustice, from expensive daycare to workplace racism to saving trees, can give life purpose and
