I went to the two day clinic. The first day of the district clinic was meant to be a practice day for the concert that would be held the following day. The practice day (which was Saturday I recall) was a very long grueling day of playing. We played a ten hour day with breaks in between every few hours. As we were playing I noticed something different. I really enjoyed being there. I thought I was done with band but something about being there with other passionate players made me want to be better. The night after our long practice day I thought a lot about my decision to go to the Early College. I had enjoyed playing so much that day I was now second guessing myself. The next day we got up early to go rehearsal again, I remember being very excited to get up on that stage and play again. Later on that afternoon we played our concert. It was my favorite concert I've ever performed in. We played “Sweet Caroline.” During that song all the parents in the crowd stood up. They clapped and sang along with the tune. In that moment on stage I got a feeling that only playing a piece of music can give you. A chill, a wonderful chill sensation. I knew right then in that moment that I could never stop playing in band. The crowd went wild at the ending of our piece and along with their applause I had made up my
