Brutus and Antony are very different.
Brutus is an introvert. He likes reading, thinking and spending time alone.
While Antony was an outgoing person. He was a man of action and he was not a thinker. He was an athlete and a fun-loving party-goer.He is portrayed that way even in Shakespeare's play Antony and Cleopatra, in which he destroys his character, his relationship with Octavius, and finally his life because of his addiction to eating, drinking, pleasure and love-making.
Brutus’ speech began with “Romans, Countrymen and Lovers”
His speech was very well established and was straight to the Romans. He did that to join all the Romans together and then explain the cause to his death.His speech was logical. To oppose Brutus, he started his speech with “Friends, Romans and Countrymen” which later made people think that he was Caesar’s friend. He pretends to feel modest and very heartbroken. His speech was also more personal. All over the speech he uses paralipsis and repetition to poke at Brutus but at the same time save Caesar’s status. Antony repeated the word “honorable” throughout this speech to describe Brutus, which also contradicted Brutus’ speech. There are two cases of Paralipsis in his speech, the first one is “I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.” But throughout the speech he praises Caesar and what he has done. Another example is “I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke, But here I am to speak what I do know.”, although he speaks good about Caesar and what he has done for Rome, in contrary to what Brutus
