How Is Napoleon Successful

To some people, Napoleon might have been a successful leader for France. To others, maybe not. In order to be considered successful, you need to have accomplished your set goal. Although Napoleon had a lot of goals, he did not achieve all of them by the time he died. Napoleon was a general in the French army who had outstanding leadership skills and battle tactics. With these pros in his personnel, he also had cons which ultimately led to his downfall. On my “Rise and Fall Graph” of Napoleon, I rated 10 events of Napoleon’s life that defined his overall success.
My first event that I rated was when Napoleon graduated military school in 1785 at the age of 16. I rated this a six on my out of 10 scale of importance. I rated this event a six because when he finished military school, he graduated with advanced knowledge on how to be a successful general. I didn’t rate this higher because this is before he started to make a difference for France, but I rated it over a five because this knowledge was the foundation and starting point of his career in the military. This knowledge also helped him accomplish things in the army as a general which were a big part of his success.
The battle didn’t last long because the royalist rebels fled the battle due to the brilliant tactics and surprise by Napoleon and his gunners. I believed this was extremely important because he successfully confused and obliterated his opponents in his very first battle for France. From this event he became known as the savior of the French Republic. The success of this battle builded up his reputation very positively and made people think that he was a potential successful leader which is why I gave this event a 10 out of 10 on the
