On January 19, 1809, in Boston, Massachusetts a writer, critic, and poet by the name of Edgar Allen Poe was born. The famous writer wrote many poems such as Alone, Annabel Lee, A Dream Within A Dream, Eldorado, The Valley Of Unrest, and The Tale Tell Heart. Out of his many poems “The Raven” is renowned and a major figure in american literature. Poe lived with his aunt and cousin Elizabeth whom he later decided to marry. When his family moved to Richmond, Virginia he later became editor and owner of the Broadway Journal.
