A man who changed the world’s thought towards black people. A man whose heart was so true he changed our country to what it is today. If you said Martin Luther King Jr. than you were correct. Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta Georgia January 15, 1929. (Stanford/Martin) On the 18 of June Martin gets married to Coretta Scott. On December 1 Rosa Parks is arrested because she didn't move to the back for a white man.( Stanford/Martin) How does this pertain to Martin do you ask. King bring people together through protests. One of example is the Bus Boycott. The whole story behind that is, one day a lady Rosa Parks was on the bus and a white man told her to move and go to the back. She would not because she was tired from work so she said No. the bus driver told her to move or he would call the police. And she said No. So she was arrested. Martin Luther saw this as a chance to unite all the black people together to form a boycott for a cause that was important to them. He would even have peaceful marches where he would deliver some of his famous speeches he are a few. “I have a Dream” speech,and “ I’ve been to the MountainTop” speech. He would also bring people together his own way. Trough church. He would teach peace and to be kind to others. was. We should be true to good causes and be a person who will stand up for what is right and that is why we celebrate this holiday to celebrate black people's freedom from racism. We should all be grateful because he gave us a point of view to look forward to and a person to look up to. this is a time in which we should be friends with all people even if they have different skin color. We will be strong and be a friend for others. Like in Martin’s “ I have a Dream” speech he says He hopes one day that one day his children and other men will be judged by their character and not by the color of their skin.
