“Not only does the student learn from the teacher, but I believe the teacher must learn from the student.” Graciela Hammeken says while casually sitting next to me in her office. With these powerful words, Graciela Hammeken has changed many people’s perspective on the relationship between teachers and students. In her opinion, creating the most successful and comfortable learning environment, starts from equal respect that is reciprocated from student to the teacher.…

Teaching and Learning are intertwined with each other to the degree that they complement each other by building on one’s prior knowledge. Student’s come into the classroom with open minds, and it is the teacher’s responsibility to expand their minds and fill it full of information, so that they can use the acquired knowledge to build their personality and broaden their thought process to help them solve problems of everyday life. When a student comes into the classroom they should be eager to learn and willing to build on the lessons they learned from the day before.…
Every student that comes in your classroom gains and uses the information in different ways: this is done by seeing, hearing, touching, analyzing. As our students are different so are the teaching styles which also may vary from person to person. I have learnt that if a teacher does not try to understand the students in their class there will be a problem passing on the knowledge to their students. and the students will become bored if they are not interested in the subject, it is up to the teacher to make it interesting so they can reach all students.…

High School sucked. I had so many learning disabilities that I was unaware of, though I had a few good teachers who helped me out by taking me under the wing to try to help me out the best they could to learn at my own pace. I am now a college student and have learned what these disabilities are, though a test that I have taken. I learned that I am a visual learner, with a growth mindset.…

To become a good student, you need to get motivated! Motivation can come from seeing the situation of many poor children around the world who are not lucky enough to get a proper education. This is a good thing to keep in mind when you find yourself not wanting to attend class or study at home. Another reason to get motivated to study is that you will enjoy a better quality of life as an educated person. You can go to educational websites, like this one, and surf them with interest. You must not force yourself to study, as this will make learning a chore and you will not feel like even opening your books. You will have many academically good students in your courses. Try becoming friends with them (or encourage your current friends to be better students), and you'll be immersed in an academic environment which will help you feel motivated!…

The ideal student respects and honours his teachers. He knows the place of teachers, who are opening the gate of glories for him. He is humble and obedient. An ideal student is not a frog in a well but a person with greater visions and ideals. He is regular and punctual. He does not participate in adverse and negative activities. He confines himself to his…
there, in either boring lectures where they would have rather slept or would have rather been at home, or have sat through lectures that always had those students engaged and wanting to learn. The question to ask ourselves is what makes a good teacher, and what makes a bad teacher? What does a great teacher have, that a terrible teacher does not? There are many components that come together to make good and bad teachers. Being a good or bad teacher depends on quite a bit. Well, a good teacher has qualities that keep students engaged. They are fun, nice and have great personalities. Those teachers want to be in the classroom teaching. They do not care if they have any bad seeds in the class. All that good teachers care about is what they do and why they are doing it. A terrible teacher bores the students in his or her classroom. Bad teachers have qualities like terrible or boring personalities, or just don’t care enough to make a class amazing. But there are three qualities that really separate good teachers from bad teachers. It really all depends upon the teachers tone, lesson plans, and availability. Without these three qualities, there really would be no good teachers or bad teachers.…
