How to Not Waste Time
Process Essay: How to Not Waste Time

Wasting time is something everyone can do,it is part of life. It is also something we would rather . not do. Lets face it, time is so precious. To many, time is money. You may wonder just how it is that

you waste so much time? For some it is distraction, we tend to space out, lose focus, get lazy, and

procrastinate. The list can go on and on. I am sure that you would love to be as productive as the

next person. I am going to give you some simple steps on how you can not waste so much time, and

have more time for fun and things you enjoy doing.

First and foremost, always remember that a pen and paper are your best friend. Write down your

plans, goals, and your attainable dreams. When you write down what you want to do, or need to do:

you are much more likely to get it done. This includes a simple shopping list, time management is

key. You can go in get exactly what you need, and get out and on to your next task. No more

aimless wandering and wondering , wasting time. If you need to get a few things done today,

write your list every morning while drinking your coffee that way it becomes a ritual.

Second of all, you should always organize your time. If you have more than enough tasks to

complete in one days time, simply create limits whenever possible. Some things will require your

attention no matter what. Your family, friends, and especially your children should always be top

priority. Other things can always be bumped down on your priorities list. Try to commit to the

things that need to get done in one day, and stick to a time limit with the things that do not

necessarily have to be done that day.

Third step, try to become less distracted and stay on track. It is so easy to get distracted

doing certain things, especially surfing the Web. Simply setting time limits for yourself to complete

each task will definitely be helpful, but make sure to keep

In the colonial United States up to seventeen hundred, most of the settlers inhabiting the land happened to be of English origin. Although, they came from the same whereabouts, the two poles of the colonies, north and south, developed two distinct societies. For example, in the New England area the settlers developed an egalitarian, unified, and organized atmosphere, while in the Chesapeake region residents created an aristocratic, unloyal, and scattered environment. But, if they are of the same origin, how did they develop such divergent societies? This difference was a result of opposite immigration and settlement patterns, and motives.…

I would prefer to do the things I really enjoy rather than the things that are important. I sometimes use these things to make excuses for not the things that I should be doing. I tend to give more importance to these things at any given time of the day, it makes prioritizing these activities that much harder. I always believed doing the easy tasks first and getting them done then proceeding to complete the harder tasks last. My problem is I get easily distracted with my zappers. Having taking this GS 1145 class has shown me how to reconstruct and use my time wisely. By using a To Do List will help improve me with using my time wisely. This will motivate me to list my easy and hard things to do so I can complete in a timely manner. In contrast with the Self-Assessment, I consider myself to be more of a morning person, so getting started on these tasks soon after I wake every morning would ensure successful completion. Also limiting contact with others while working on these tasks would eliminate the temptation to enjoy my zappers. I also need to set aside certain days of the week to complete these tasks as well. Now that I have a plan, I plan to implement it a soon as possible in hopes that my school work gets done and still have time for my zappers.…

We all tend to procrastinate and waste time doing something else other than what we should be doing or just to help pass time by. This often happens when we are having difficulty doing something or when we are just wanting to be occupied by something.
