Everyone has features that make them who they are. Our strengths and weaknesses make us individuals. What makes me stand out is my willingness to learn, work, and grow. With these skills, I hope to find a career that I enjoy and excel in. I pride myself on my ability to learn quickly and apply my knowledge to nearly any task. This experience put me in charge of others, forced me to be well-organized, and required me to show responsibility and integrity. I would like to work in museums someday, whether in curation or some other role. The experiences I had at the county fair have given me some essential skills in this field. I have learned to register, handle, and display exhibits in an organized and responsible manner, as well as answering questions about the exhibits for curious viewers. I want to work in a museum because I have always functioned best in an academic environment, but have no interest in teaching. Both of my parents have master's degrees and my mother is working towards her second. My brother is also in college currently, making funds scarce. This scholarship would go a long way towards getting me a higher education and find my dream career. With the skills I have learned over the years, I am equipped to succeed in a college environment. I think a career in museum curation is right for me because I like time to myself, but also enjoy teaching others occasionally.
