Bloch Scholarship
My whole school life time; I went to a school that only had under two-hundred students that attended. My normal classroom size would be around ten to twenty students. I believe becoming a Bloch scholar it would be a great opportunity for me to start off at a college that has a class size that I am comfortable with. I have talked to students that are currently attending and I believe it would be a good fit for me to go to Metropolitan Community College. It's a school that is there for students and go out of their time to actually help unlike other colleges that don't even care if a student shows up to class or not. I grew up as an average student. The past year has been very difficult in my family because my father got cut off of his good paying job which covered most bills, but recently I was able to work more often. I put less stress off my parents shoulders by helping them with things they needed around the house. We were able to get back on their feet at least but this Bloch scholarship would be a Financial saver towards my parents because I don't want my educational goals make them struggle. I want to be able to help my parents and already give back to them. To do that first I will have to go to college to be able to get a good paying job. Also secondly it will allow me to get situated with being out of high school and moving on into college. I know it will help me get comfortable since I can move on into a bigger college with more students in a classroom by time. I might not know exactly what I want to major in but I do know that I want to be able to go to college. I want to make my family proud and hopefully one day soon pay them back for a lifetime caring for me. This is why I strongly believe that having the Bloch Scholarship will make me reach my career goals because I can first start off at Metropolitan Community College getting my genetics classes out the way. Then from there I can transfer into UMKC knowing what I want to major
