This will be my third year at Missouri University of Science and Technology and I can still safely say this is the right fit for my personal needs for self-growth. I am always challenged and required to think in a vastly different way than I have ever been used to. My intended major now was mechanical engineering which is still very interesting to me, but I discovered the many intricacies of civil engineering and decided that I need to pursue it with much haste and tenacity. I want to show my parents that their sacrifices that they have made for my brothers, sister and I will not be in vain, because I will show them that we have the ability to achieve great things in life. Being the first to attend college is something I hold dear, but I feel that graduating from a well-known university with a bachelors in engineering, is my goal and my responsibility.
