Health cost adds up because people have to pay higher deductible for tests, doctor visits and medications. Doctor’s usually order more than one test to diagnose an illness. The more tests doctor orders, the more out of pocket people have to pay. Health insurance is also expensive because some medications are very expensive. A hepatis C medication cost $1,000 for one pill. The course of the treatment is about $84,000 to $150,000. Another expensive medication is Humira, which cost about $4,359 for two injectable solutions.
Some people believe that everyone should have health insurance. People who are not able to pay for it should have it for free. If health insurance was cheap and affordable people would not suffer from medical debts. Debt can lead to other problems such as stress, stroke, and other heart related problems. The extra stress would lead to poor health which causes someone to go to the doctor’s office. This will lead onto more debt.
In conclusion, the amount of people uninsured people has decreased since President Obama took office. Health insurance should also become more cheap and affordable. If health insurance was affordable, people would lead better
