How To Write A Personal Reflection On Working With Dementia Citizens

Whilst working in Howick Manor, almost all of the residents suffered from dementia and memory loss which left the residents often in a confused and lonely state. Not only did they often forget where they were and what they were doing, they also displayed challenging and physically violent behavior toward both nurses and staff. By being actively involved with the residents whether it be talking, doing activities or even just serving food to them it was obvious we made a real difference in their day just by showing that someone was there for them. Despite facing dementia, you could see their faces light up and how much they appreciated the company and care from the staff when we interacted with the residents. I found myself in love working alongside
