Hitler planned to persecute anyone that stood out and wasn’t apart of the Aryan race. Many varieties of people were exiled, stripped of their dignity and shunned just for being who they were. Any African Americans or blacks living in Germany were economically and socially degraded (Lester). Hitler's national government wouldn’t allow blacks to enroll in local colleges, they’d be forced to give up their jobs and business, and would even be deported out of the country. Any type of marital status between a white woman and black man or a black woman and white man was prohibited by the government. Unalike Jews, blacks were given absolutely no reparations since their German citizenships had been nullified even if they were birthed in a city of Germany. Also after the war the thousands that were sterilized continued their life with no chance of creating new life. During World War II, the Nazi party gathered Jews, stripped them of their rights and properties and forced them to live in terrible conditions. In 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany and less than half a year later he began using his dictatorial rights to abuse Jews. I am from St. Louis Missouri. My experience with racism has always been between black and white. From fifth grade age 10 to my senior year age 18 I attended predominantly white schools with only one or two black people in each class. Not any Asians or Hispanics. I am very aware of African American being treated unfairly due to race. What I learned from this chapter is that other races of color also feel the intimidation of White people. It is not just African American that feels racial prejudice. I agree with the statement “racial issues are not about physical skin color but rather stem from the meaning and value people assign to skin color”. I learned that people of color (not just African American) are publically labeled with descriptions…

In all of humanity, there was one thing that was always in our lives no matter how much we tried to get rid of it--racism. Racism is a giant problem in the world and it is still lurking today, as discussed in the articles “Is Everyone A Little Bit Racist?” by Nicholas Kristof and “Black Men and Public Spaces” by Brent Staples. Racism is everywhere and in everyone, as anybody can be racist, all races are stereotyped, some worse than others, and most discriminate without even knowing it. Fortunately there are solutions to the worldwide situation but some do believe in racial inequality and that it is alright to put others below them. With racism, we have taken it to the worse level, making it part of people's everyday lives, both whites and blacks.…
