Apple is in the middle of trying to bring back the production and design of their microchips they are using currently. The best recruiting approach for Apple at this point would be to buy out a company that is already in the business of manufacturing and designing microchips. According to the case, Apple has already started this process by buying a little start up company that manufactures microchips and this will really benefit them in the long run if they are looking for fast results. When a company makes a big decision, like bringing in a whole new production line, there will be a lot of different types of changes that the company needs to make sure that they are prepared for. Finding the talent and mass numbers to cover the needs of a project like this would be a very long a strenuous process. By buying out a company that is already established, Apple is eliminating that process and is bringing in talent and experience along the way. This type of recruiting method would not work in every situation, but Apple is in the need of a lot of people who are knowledgeable in the field of manufacturing microchips. This method provides an established work force, customer base and a location to conduct business in, which in returns only broadens Apple’s network and establishes them more with in their market. Apple can also bring in temp employees as an option to get the ball rolling and set up completed.
