PEOPLE RESOURCING is a complex task and how they see themselves different from other organisation (Martin
J,2009:18). It involve the process of allocating right people, to right place and at right time. It shapes the organisation overall culture. (ibid). Thus it is a major part of any organisation.
Sainsbury 's which is one of the top retail business in UK and dealing in some other sector such as banking, online shopping, etc. view their colleague as heart of business. Accordingly the recruiting, selection, and talent management is done very effectively in order to stay ahead in the competition.
Talent Management
Talent management is the use of an integrated set of activities to ensure that the organization attracts, retains, motivates and develops the talented people it needs now and in the future
(Armstrong,2006: 390).
Aligning talent management with business strategy is major concern for HR professionals .
Recruitment and Selection
Searching for and predicting best recruits is crucial steps in talent management (Armstrong,2012: 220).
Recruitment is done through website as there is no CV policy.
Applicant needs to sign up for overall process.
Online test are taken through which different skills such as :customer service , attention to detail, mathematics and value of applicant are judged.
The procedure follow up with phone and face to face interview.
Selection criteria are based on the level of passion, enthusiasm, commitment, skills and services.
Successful candidates through all the procedure are called for the training and development programme.
