but one point. We put that to a vote a majority ruled. The Report passed and stands as is.
Since the quorum and vote it has been stated that the Chair had to write the report, although that is not what it stated in the Guide Amanda referred us to.
I can tell you the committee will not be able to come to a united vote due to a member’s personal relationship with one of the parties involved.
I have suggested that since Local PTA has tried to solve its concerns and issues with the Council and Area PTA levels without any resolution, that we now consider requesting a review. I was then told Lisa mentioned “that she is the one who approves the Texas PTA reviews and she would not approve a review for us for this issue (because of the zero line item meaning that from a PTA perspective no money is missing “). Personally, I thought that all reviews will be at the discretion of the state president, maybe I misunderstood that.
At this point I don’t know where we go from here. All I can do at this point is again suggest that since the validity of the financial reconciliation report is being questioned, we should follow in the steps that we need to request assistance or an independent CPA to conduct a review of last years
finances.
