Before any action is made, one person thought about it first. Looking back at history, most of the significant movements were caused by one person’s thought or belief. Go back to 1933, to meet a man by the name of Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler was the Chancellor and Dictator of Germany from 1933 to 1945. Hitler was a National Socialist who was in charge of his political group called the Nazis. Hitler used his ideas to influence many social reforms. L. Ellsworth editor of the Biography Channel website give a prime example of Adolf Hitler’s social reforms “Hitler promoted anti-smoking campaigns across the country. These campaigns stemmed from Hitler’s self-imposed dietary restrictions, which included abstinence from alcohol and meat. At dinners, Hitler sometimes told graphic stories about the slaughter of animals in an effort to shame his fellow diners. He encouraged all Germans to keep their bodies pure of any intoxicating or unclean substance.”
It wasn’t all just about social reform, Hitler also wanted to create a master race. This master race was named the Aryan Race. This concept originally started with Hitler “…banning marriage between non-Jewish and Jewish Germans…” (Elsworth). Hitler became a product of his thoughts. Hitler let what he was thinking consume is being and created what is now known as World War II. Hitler’s thoughts brainwashed not only him but Germany. This caused not only for many races to change but caused many of the people of Germany to emigrate to different countries or be forced into concentration camps.
