Case-I Employee Motivation in government organization 1. Discuss the long-term relevance of motivational techniques used by Baheti in the light of prevailing environment in the organization. Motivation is set of forces that cause people to perform in certain way. Motivation is goal directed. In prevailing case Mr Baheti used the following multipronged strategies to solve the problem related to 197 & 183 services. * Regular Interaction with Employee- This enhanced the performance, as mutual trust built up between employee and management * Counseling of employee – Baheti gained the confidence of employees as a leader through this action. * Appreciation- This brings up the Job satisfaction, Increase the self esteem, Recognition .

2.Had you been Baheti, what other techniques you would have used to improve the special services provided by the organization? Ans: As Baheti, I would have introduced 1. Specialized training for employees to improve their communication and interpersonal skills, which would help them during interaction with customers. 2. Incremental incentive for achieving in step targets 200, 400, 600, 1000 calls per day, which would have driven employees to achieve more. 3. Regular get together to enhance employee & management relationship
