Intro. Of Hydraulic Crane Arm

I chose to build a model hydraulic crane arm, because it shows the ability of how it would actually work as a full-size hydraulic crane arm. The hydraulic crane arm shows how it would work in the world and environment, and help the scientific implications we have today. It helps the scientific implications by picking things up that people can’t do by themselves.

The first lesson learnt is the importance of durability when constructing a device. Although the preliminary design was functioning, it’s lack of durability meant a completely new device was constructed for the secondary design. The emphasis placed on durability for subsequent iterations resulted in a device that remained structurally sound despite repeated transportations. The second lesson is the importance of effectively integrating separate systems into the final design. The parallel construction of the computer system and the mechanical system allowed the final design to operate as a single unit that was both accurate and efficient. Without this integration, the final design would likely have been unsuccessful.…

As the leader I learned how to put my trust into other people's abilities and use their advice to solve setbacks. This skill is something that I can use to impact my school and community in the future. Another reason why this project was significant to me is because it will be used by people for a long time, meaning that my project will impact numerous people in the community.
