When you get home from school or work, most of us tend to just relax or not think of much. In the year “1918” it was the middle of WW1, people, living in fear, always wondered when they’d see their dad or husband.
“The America I believe in” is not what most people think of. I think about what happened back in the year of “1918.” Yes, I understand, why would I think of that? Well, like I said, when we get home, we relax, we don’t go into a BLOODY battle or have to witness the horror of senseless DEATH. “Relaxation,” if you haven’t noticed that’s a word we take for granted. This also goes along with these following word: humanity, peace, health, education and FREEDOM. I have selected these words today to tell you that not everyone has that.
Therefore, We should be very appreciative of what we have. You may have heard about the countries of Iraq and Pakistan, or heard about all the present wars. Very, very, brutal wars. Franklin Delano Roosevelt once said “Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

the character of the onslaught against us.” This was said after the senseless “Bombing of Pearl Harbor.” What kind of brutality has our country included itself into; but at least, we had someone to lead us. Let’s talk about other countries.
Iraq, Pakistan, India and even parts of Europe.
Those countries don’t have that or even freedom! That should make you think, “Wow! I have it easy,” and you do. Have you heard the words “they’re fighting for our freedom?” Well that’s exactly what I’m talking about. 1736, 1754, 1763, 1918, 1945 and 2016. I’ve listed these years because these are the most horrific wars of America. Yes, 2016, the year we live in stands on the break of total war. The “America I believe in” shouldn’t be like that. That goes to the other countries as well. We have education, peace, health, authority and Freedom. Can those other countries say the same? “The America I believe in” is what it should be just not without help. So when you get home to “relax” think about the “America I believe
in.”
