have frowned upon this, but I enjoyed every time I was aloud to join. Seeing what she had to do and noticing the smile my mom brought to her clients faces made me understand how much they appreciated her. My mom had a very special client to her Nicki, she was about 20-30 years old if I remember correctly and was autistic. She was a big Marshalls fan, her room was covered in it, loved to laugh, had a job rewinding VHS movies at Blockbuster. The days my mom would bring me with her to see Nicky, always brought me joy. We would play games together and watch movies sometimes. She was my favorite of all my mom’s client, I wouldn’t have changed that experience. Now I am twenty years old and working at a hospital as a patient care tech, that job can be tough it wasn’t what I thought it would be at first working at a hospital.
I enjoy taking care of patients and making them feel better in a different way than what a nurse would. Doctors have let me sit in and watch and ECT and an epidural be done. The epidural was far more fascinating than the ECT but they were both great experiences. Nursing is a career that I want, something that I know I would love. Finding out that I got into the nursing program brought me into tears, knowing that the beginning of my journey has finally began. I plan not to stop at just my associates, I want to go all the way to my master and be a nurse
practitioner.
