Unfortunately, there are some “mothers to be”, that don’t necessarily deserve the privilege of being a mother due to mistreatment to themselves during, while or even after their pregnancies.There are also a lot of mothers that simply don’t want their newborns. Throughout life, I have grown up watching them as well as listened to them about helping those in need and making an impact on one's life. Observing my mom is what kind of triggered the fire in me to research careers not only in nursing but in the healthcare field as well. Another little push in getting me to think about nursing was volunteering and shadowing local healthcare professionals , which in the end opened my eyes even more to the endless possibilities as to how a nurse could help others. Pursuing a career in nursing can really help distinguish what it means to help people as well as educate me personally in other areas that could be both beneficial and rewarding in the future. In the end, I aspire to absorb as much information and hands on training as possible so that I will be well equipt and ready for real world
