An inability to build or maintain satisfactory interpersonal relationships with peers, teachers, and other adults in the school setting; or
5. Behaviors that are chronic and disruptive such as noncompliance, verbal and/or physical aggression, and/or poorly developed social skills that are manifestations of feelings, symptoms, or behaviors found in numbers 1, 2, or 3.
If a student significantly improves after the evidence-base intervention or the student's behavior is normal or less than six months that student may not be eligible as a student with EBD. Other determining factors that will disqualify a student will be students that are socially maladjusted and whose emotional/behavioral manifestations are attributed to age, culture, gender, or ethnicity.
