His special integrated co-teaching services continued in addition to resource room into the 10th and 11th grade. The monthly consultation hearing services was replaced with yearly information on disability and implications for instruction in the 11th grade. Presently, is educated within integrated co-teaching daily for 1 hour and 20 minutes. In addition, Matthey attends resource room daily for 40 minutes and receives Hearing services twice a week. From my view of this topic you would think special kids are all the same slow and just don’t know how to learn on there own. But after learning about IEP, IFSP,IEE and 504 plan. You learn that not all kids are the sane and there are different programs to put kids in to help them in there journey. Some are the same and some are different but everyone has there own special thing about them. IEP and 504 plan are similar when it comes to the ages they help you from. Tommy is a 5-year-old healthy boy. As the only child his parents adore him. They started to realize that some things were a bit odd about Tommy as he started to show signs of emotional and communication difficulties growing up. As he grew, they noticed a difficulty in speech, playing social games, and prefers to play alone. On Friday September 9th, I was able to observe a third and fourth grade special education classroom, this classroom is self-contained and I had the opportunity to look through one of students IEP. I learned a lot about IEP, this is a written plan designed by specialist team that describes what kind of disabilities the child needs to improve. They have a placement service that helps in the child’s needs. The IEP is the first step that a child needs to receive special education services. The IEP is revised once a year or some times more if it’s needed. Some of the materials that we can find in the IEP are annual goals for the child, which they are placed in a short-term with objectives and performances. The related services or intensive services like speech language service, physical therapy or occupational therapy. All these services are based on the child’s needs, also they include the day of services will begin and how often they are going to be provide help for the child with amount of time and how it is involved in these services.…
