Imagine By Steve Turner Summary
I have not read many Christian or religious books. Imagine written by Steve Turner opened up mind. There were some things that I had never heard of or thought about. I had to think and read some things over to understand and grasp what it meant. I enjoyed reading this book. It gave me a brand new outlook on what being a Christian in the art is all about. I think Steve Turner was the perfect person to right this book. He had a lot of different experiences and stories to tell that would help a reader recognize and relate with. I agreed with a lot of things he mentioned and would write about.
I have accepted that it is all right to work in the arts and be a christian at the same time. There is no problem about doing it. God gave us talents for

Decisions are one of the most detrimental aspects of life. They range from what we do today to what we think of the newest trends. People always believe that their decisions are made at their own discretion, however, more often than not, the things we do are a result of the thoughts, actions, and ideas of the people around us. The effects of influence are everywhere, yet no one seems to notice. In the article “The Invisible Influence”, Jonah Berger discusses the positive and negative impacts it has on our lives. In the book Ender’s Game, Orson Scott Card shows how easily children can be swayed by the environment they grow up in, which leads them to make skewed decisions, both good and bad. In both texts, the authors illustrate how the looming presence of influence drives many of our decisions in our daily lives.…

Billions of human beings live on the planet, and though we may all bleed red, equity is not given to all. Although the color red is shared, the world is not fair to those who are different in terms of race, social class, and gender. The accepted standards are ever-changing, yet the scales lean toward a specific demographic- white men. Though a bold claim, if I were to ask anyone what an American looks like, their response would be similar to the description of Uncle Sam. Without even realizing it, the accumulation of interactions solidified that image of "What is an American," and it is through those interactions that we have come to learn social hierarchies.…

Aws Aldajan What DuBois means by the concept of “Double Consciousness” is that people sometimes want to feel they belong to something so they look at themselves through the eyes of others and from others perspective. In the text that we read, he is referring to the life of the African American people especially during the times of slavery when the black people were waiting for Emancipation as William described it. DuBois explained this scenario by writing “The history of the American Negro is the history of this strife – this longing to attain self-conscious manhood, to merge his double self into a better and truer self. In this merging he wishes neither of the older selves be lost” (4). This statement just tells us that double conscious…

The book What If: Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions by Randall Munroe is a book that includes a series of hypothetical questions that the author, a famous American cartoonist, tries to explain or answer in a scientific and clear way. However, this book is not a good book because it has no plot, doesn't involve developed characters and also has no chronological sequence. To begin, the book does not have a plot. This can be seen in the text, it states, “A brief story the official record for the fastest manmade object is the Helios 2 probe, which reached about 70 km/s in a close swing around the Sun” (Munroe, 58). This quote shows the small interruption made by the author in the middle of his answer.…
