The Impact of Employee Job Satisfaction on the Organizational Commitment: A Study of Faculty Members of Public Sector Universities of Pakistan

Abstract
The organizations need to attain the commitment of their employees for the uplifting its efficiency and effectiveness. This research identifies the importance of employee job satisfaction for achieving organizational commitment of the faculty members in public sector universities of Pakistan. Employee job satisfaction questionnaire along with organizational commitment was used to gather the data for the study. Validity and reliability of questionnaire was determined before using it for data collection. The respondents involved in this study were university faculty members of two public sector universities namely Sindh
University and Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. The Statistical technique of Pearson correlations was applied to measure the relationship of employee job satisfaction with organizational commitment. The results showed positive and significant connection between aforementioned variables.
