The five functions of management practices are planning, leading, organizing, staffing and controlling. These functions are essential to forming a successful company with high revenues. Working in the healthcare field I have found that these functions are important to running a successful company. My current employer sets standards to follow and takes corrective action to ensure all standards are followed. All employees know their tasks daily and have opportunities to dispute their duties if now satisfied. The five functions of management are essential to performing our daily duties and help to keep the company running smoothly and profitably. I will be discussing how the five functions are implemented into my current position. Having my daily schedule in hand and knowing what my daily tasks are before hand is important in completing my tasks in a timely manner. I am currently employed at Garden Terrace of Overland Park, which is a nursing home for Alzheimer’s patients. The five functions of management are crucial for the success of our company. There are several different ways that these functions are implemented into our company. All departments in our facility implement the five functions of management. In my paper I will be discussing each function and how they are implemented into or company.
PLANNING:
Planning involves many different issues and departments in our facility. The planning involves analyzing our competition opportunities and threats along with the strengths and weaknesses. Management at my current job sets objectives that must be achieved. They identify what must be done to achieve such objectives. Management evaluates objectives and takes action when necessary. Planning is essentially implemented to attain the company’s goals and objectives. Planning is implemented in several different
