My parents always told me, “Bailey you never slack off, colleges’ will always look at your freshman year.” Going to college in my house was a huge deal, since my father never went to college he wanted me to go. Both of my parents wanted me to better than they both had done, so throughout all of my years in school they always stressed the importance of getting good grades. When I was younger and in my middle school years I never understood why it was so important, it’s just middle school I thought. Why does my grades in middle school matter? I have come to realize now that middle school was the building blocks into high school and if I was to slack off in middle school I was surely going to do it in high school. Without my parents and their constant reminder of the importance of my education I would not be where I am
