So now when we put the leash on he jumps at the cars because he thinks he is going to the vet. My dog is sweet because he let me dress him up in my princess dresses and wigs when I was little. He also when I come home from school he comes on the couch and sits with me even though he is not allowed to. He is so loyal and sweet if anything were to happen to him my family would be devastated.
My dog is spoiled because he gives us puppy eyes every time we are in the kitchen.we feel bad so we usually end up giving him something.he also is a picky eater because if we drop a chip he won't touch it but if we drop a cucumber the he eats is all.also when we go to the pet store I always tell my mom to get him a new toy and we usually walk out of there with one. He always destroys his toys so now we have to get him horse

The squeaking noise from the dog toys sends him into crazy mode. He will run from one side of the apartment to the other in the blink of an eye. When he gets the toy, he shakes it in his mouth so hard that when he lets go the toy will fly to the other side of the room. I appreciate that, of course, since I only have to throw the toy once and he takes it from there while I just watch in amusement. Code words for Bruno are treat and walk, so no matter who you are, if you say one of those words you instantly become his favorite person. He will run to the door and wait for his leash to be put on, or sit and lift one paw off the ground waiting for a…

How to sit, how to stop jumping all over guests, and how to stop wiggling their butts all over people as a greeting (okay, I’m still working on that one). But what have my dogs taught me over the years? My German Shepherd, Trooper, was neglected by a police officer for the first year of his life, but we rescued him and he had nine happy years with our family, where he was loved unconditionally.…

While standing in the yard watching the dogs, an observation I made was the various breed-specific factors that influenced the dog’s temperaments and behaviors. For example, how much exercise a dog requires varies greatly from dog to dog, but some breeds are most certainly more active and lively than others. Dogs such as Australian Shepard’s, Huskies and Labrador Retrievers are full of life, hard to tire out, and constantly ready for action. Although, when the owners of these particularly active dogs do not provide enough stimulation and exercise for them, I find myself struggling to control the dogs that may begin to act out, try to escape the yard, or become hard to control when on a leash. Another observation I made was the different intelligence levels of dogs that vary significantly between breeds. I could tell which dogs were considered highly intelligent by their responsiveness to training and learning a wider range of skills and tricks.
The intelligent dogs also tend…

My first dog was a disaster. I’d gotten a Shih-Tzu as a seventh birthday present. She forewent obedience training and socialization. I didn’t walk her, didn’t clean up after her, and spoiled her rotten. Literally. It was unsurprising years later when she’d nipped at people unprovoked or would race around the house in a dizzying state, knocking vases off stands and knocking over unsteady chairs. Though on occasion, I found humor in her badness. The most hilarious incident being…
