Introduction After reading the textbook about hiring, I feel that education and experience is very important. Both areas are unique and have different values to companies. In this paper, I will discuss different situations that one might be more important and how I would feel about misleading information on a resume. Also what I think about background checks being used everywhere. Still, I feel that education and experience are equally important.

Suppose you are an HR manager at a company that needs to fill an important management position. In what situations would a candidate’s educational background be important? In what situations would a candidate’s track record as a manager or a leader be important?

Do you agree that employers should place more emphasis on background checks?
I do believe background checks can help but sometime you still can miss a lie. I would still want employers to check the references and interview the person a few times if possible to see what kind of person they were.
Summary and Conclusions In conclusion, I feel that education and experience is equally when taking about a resume. In some situations, one can be little more important due to the field and job duties one would face. I think everyone should be careful with the information they are giving and check it in every possible way. Background checks can be very useful and help business find some people with misleading information but not everyone.
