Initially, one of the greatest impact this revolution left on American society was its contribution to immigration, more specifically, job
opportunities. For example, during the industrial revolution more and more immigrants were arriving to this thriving new land where their hopes and dreams could come true. These brave people came from places like: China, Poland, Russia, and Italy. Many of these people wanted to become wealthy, so they found jobs as railroad workers, in factories, and as textile workers. Since a lot of these people were taking this chance, America had to adjust their communities to embrace all these immigrants.
An equally important impact that the industrial revolution left on American society was its ability to morph our cities. This can be still be seen today. As more and more people left their home countries and migrated over to the land of the free, more and more land was being occupied. Because of all the unavailable space in cities architects needed to find a way to make more space; this new form of housing was called skyscrapers which was possible because of steel.
