Most of the money that they get goes directly to their families and the rest of it it’s for them
which it’s not enough. To be a remittance worker you have to keep in mind that it’s no easy and you can’t focus on yourself, you’re not going to afford a lot of things as you use to do and the most of your money is going back home.
Also, In paragraph 2 says: ‘’They pay another 3-5 percent above the exchange rate for changing dollars to another currency.’’ It’s not fair for them to pay that amount that’s why, money remittances are big business, but but the good side of the story is that in some countries they just pay $6.50 per transaction which is really good.
In conclusion, the negative aspect of being a remittance worker is the amount of work they have to put in to survive and send money back home, because they don’t want their family to be in a horrible position which is to be in need of food, clothes, medicine etc. They want the best to their families. Sometimes life puts you in a situation where you have to become a remittance worker whether you like it or not, and you doing it for you family, to have them happy and stable.
