The side I agree with is pros, which means yes college athletes should get paid. I think this because they should get the money the need. I say this because college athletes will have to do two things, And it may come to having to leave your sport activity early or quitting the job, And do you really want to do any of those? Also because they maybe have a family to take care of and they can't do it without money right? Maybe even have a family member that's hurt/ dieing/ or even dead. And you have to go to the funeral or go help them and see if they're doing ok.…

Some of these stars are essentially well known celebrities, yet they make the same amount of money as a newborn. This is what Division 1 football players deal with during their times at school. This issue has become a well-known argument, with many attempts by different groups in support of the players receiving a salary. In the article that I read I would have to agree with the author. College players should be paid, just because some of them get free education don’t mean that they shouldn’t get paid. College players are just like professional players there’s really no difference now. College athletes bring in more money than the professionals.…

Some colleges make more money than others. This graph shows the schools with the most profit in their sports programs. Somebody could say that the athletes bring in an enormous amount of money. According to Jeff Dorfman, a professor of Economics at the University of Georgia, only a few collegiate sports actually bring in money. Therefore, an athlete in a sport that isn’t very profitable wouldn’t make nearly get as much as an athlete in a very profitable sport. Along with the sports being very profitable they also have to pay for an even larger variety of different things. Student athletes should not be paid because of the money that would be paid to them. The money that they would be paid could be used to advance other things in the university such as better libraries, science labs, fixing up the dorms, or even improving their athletic facilities. Although the athletes put a lot of time into their schooling and sports the benefits they are given is equal to what they are giving and being…

The National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA, made a billion dollars on the games during March Madness and even after the nets were cut and a champion was crowned not a single player was give any money. Collegiate football players, or any collegiate player for that matter, should be paid for each game based on how hard they work and how dedicated they are to their sport. The athletes are the basis and the main reason the NCAA makes their millions. In addition, it can give these athletes a financial education and better prepare them for their future. College football, as well as men’s and women’s basketball, are the money makers as far as collegiate athletics is concerned. Most other programs are actually cash strapped. Therefore, the issue becomes should only football and basketball college athletes be paid? (Patterson, 2016). Also, how would you choose who gets paid what and where does the money come from? Who should pay the athletes the colleges or television networks or does it come from an outside source? In my opinion just like I stated before they should be paid but I do think that it might be hard to accomplish this because what about the students before them and the ones before them. What do they have to say if colleges start paying players and left them out of the…

College football should think about the rules of the NCAA another way. The NFL makes football players wait three years after graduating high school before entering the draft (Bayless). With such a tight hold on players from the NCAA, means no income for players in that time frame. Outside of room, board, and tuition players should be able to receive payment of some sort. Scholarships looks really great to the outside eye, but scholarships in the market today isn’t worth the same as it was in past decades.…

Over the past decades, what has continued to be one of the most debatable issues in the world of sports is whether or not college football players should get paid. My honest opinion is football that players should receive a certain proportion of money because of the service that college athletes provide to the institution they attend. In addition, they should be rewarded in a reasonable manner after putting their bodies out on the line, bringing in a tremendous amount of money, it will help with the football athletes to begin creating a sense of financial awareness, and finally it will attract more talented athletes.…

College football is played by teams of student athletes fielded by colleges, universities, and military academies. College football is a pastime used to promote competition. It is by no means a profession. Professional football is one’s main paid occupation, while college football is an entirely different activity that does not deserve annual salary. A paid salary for college footballers would cause a lot of controversy and isn’t necessary. College football players should not receive an annual salary for their time playing for a college team.…
