Every rule the animals in Animal Farm made to keep their society from being like that of humans to animals was broken by the pigs to further their own ideas or a relaxed more comfortable life or luxury. The main theme of Animal Farm was how corrupt society can become. The other main theme of this book is the build up to how a society is structured for the individuals. The structure is the people in charge having control over the work force (everyone else). For Russia at around this time this was how their society was. If you were not in a position of power you were working as hard as you could to try to work your way up in your world.
Animal Farm builds on this idea of corruption almost every chapter. In the beginning of the book the animals made a set of seven rules that should never be broken by any animal and each chapter a pig breaks a rule and a pig changes the rules they wrote down on the wall to fit their circumstance. The pigs break all of the rules and the animals are illiterate so they cannot read the new rules their leaders are making for themselves. In the end the pigs get rid of all the rules and replace them with just one rule “ all animals are equal but some are more equal than others”. The pigs wanted to show their superiority over every animal that is not one of them. You could be looked at this today as a form of racism between the animals showing that they are more entitled to rights than the sheep, horses, chickens Etc. …show more content…
