Interns In Greys Anatomy
Season one episode two of Greys Anatomy, interns took on the day with each of their assignments, some found their job assignments lack luster, while others had a hard time letting go, and others were knee deep in emotions. The four interns who essentially become the main characters within this episode are Meredith, Izzie, Christina, and George. Meredith finds herself engulfed in legal and ethical issues throughout the episode where she was tasked with all traumas that came in for her next 48-hour shift. Izzie got put on stitches duty for anyone who needed mending hence the lack luster aspect, she was thought she got assigned; she got herself pretty entangled into a huge legal situation, while George was doomed with death for his entire 48 …show more content…
The following are just a few scenarios that happened just in this quick 45 minute showing. When Meredith showed up for work, she was assigned trauma duty and as an intern you take orders from your attending doctor. Beep! Beep! Beep! As she got paged to her very first trauma situation which led her to a younger age girl who had been sexually assaulted. It looked like she had to literally fought for her life. Meredith became emotionally attached to this patient, the shoes the patient had been wearing were in fact the same ones the she had worn into work this morning. She couldn’t help but internalize this as if it meant something symbolic or if it was just a coincidence. When this patient was in surgery, as interns you watch as the attending physicians do the procedures.
