Knowledge gained at class room undergoes its fulfillment through application in practical field. MBA (Evening) program in University of Dhaka is designed with an excellent combination of theoretical and practical aspects. This internship is a 3 credit compulsory course in MBA (Evening) program. The objective of this program is to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real life situation. This program definitely helps the students to begin a career with some practical experience.
1.1 Background of the Study:
Now a day’s, education is not just limited to books and classrooms. In today’s world, education is the tool to understand the real world and apply knowledge for the betterment of the society as well as for business. The theoretical knowledge is acquired from academic arena, which is only the half way of the subject matter. Practical knowledge has no alternative.
Internship Program brings a student closer to the real life situation and thereby helps to launch a career with some prior experience.
1.2 Significance of the Study:
Only the theoretical knowledge is less important when it is not applicable in the practical life. Though I have completed so many theoretical courses in MBA program, but I have no such practical knowledge for being successful in the real business world. As a student of Business studies; I have to acquaint myself with practical knowledge to face the real life situation. For this reason; the internship program is so much helpful to all the students of MBA.
1.3 Scope of the Study:
The study will provide the scope of knowing the following:
(I) To have a total concept of Human Resource Management with special focus on SEC
(II) To gain knowledge of real life situation of HRM practices in Bangladesh.
1.4 Objectives of the Study:
There are two types of objectives.
Broad objective.
Specific objective.
