Interracial Marriage
Interracial Marriage Nowadays, more and more interracial couples are popular in the world. No doubt, these couples have to confront barriers and face extra challenges in their marriages because they come from different countries or have different cultures. Like an old song saying "Two different worlds ... we 've been told that a love like ours could never be ... that we haven 't the right to change our destiny ... when will they learn that a heart doesn 't draw a line, nothing matters if I am yours and you are mine ...". (Stritof) However, tough it is very difficult that interracial couples to face some problems which result from family and society, their children and their habits during their lives, there are still more and more couples in interracial marriages because of love, and I see that some of them are living happy lives. It is common sense that many factors would influence intermarriage couples’ relationship, but I think that the most important factors are the acceptance of the family and society. (“Intercultural Marriage Complications”) For instance, first, because both married couples have their own faiths and cultural traditions, what kind of the wedding will be held, and how will holidays be celebrated in the new family? No doubt, these questions will give every interracial couple headache. Both of them would be under pressure from each family or peers because of different customs. Nevertheless, personally speaking, interracial marriages are not terrible. Couples just need to realize that it is important for them to discuss these problems and respect each other’s tradition. I think that all married couples will handle both the differences and similarities perfectly. In addition, all couples may face a difficult situation for their children. When the children are born, they may possess some distinctive physical features, such as mixed skin color, a hybrid characteristic, and so on. Children may well be
