Inventory systems should be analyzed and assessed during each quarter of the year. In this paper the subject to analyze is forecasting and inventory problems using University of Phoenix Winter Historical Data to provide a plan for potential enrollment needs. Organizations use forecasting as a constructive means to stay ahead of competitors and evolve to prepare budgets and to modify more accurately to changes that may occur in that particular industry. The forecast allows the organization to develop a proposal or action plan to implement a resolution to solve future issues of the similar problem and to diminish upcoming problems.
Organization
University of Phoenix is one the largest private for-profit university in the country with hundreds of locations throughout the United States and online courses accessible in certain cities worldwide. The teaching staff have educational and real life experience in the subject they teach. Student who attend University of Phoenix have the capability to apply what he or she has learned from the classroom to their field of work. University of Phoenix offers degrees at the associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels, giving the opportunity for students to continue their education and advance professionally.
Inventory Problems
With any organization there are problems that will need a solution. The educational system is not excluded from this issue. Organizations with inventory or records that rise and fall considerably during the course of the academic year provides problems that stimulate organization to implement a resolution to the problem. The goal for the University of Phoenix is to make sure that enrollment remain high and above a certain point.
