JD SPORTS

jacket. 3 reasons why I have chosen this business * JD sports is a brand that have drawn the population to themselves * They make products with great quality * It is a top selling brand that has made a lot of profit
LIVERPOOL FC The purpose of Liverpool is to be a very good football club, winning loads of different leagues and being a top team with millions of supporters. For example the league cup in 2012 3 reasons why I have chosen LIVERPOOL * It is a very good team * I support Liverpool * I want to learn about its history AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The aim of a business is the overall aim of the presence of an organisation. They are broad statements of desired outcomes or the general intentions of the organisation and also paint a picture of your purposes. It also an emphasis what is to be accomplished not how it is to be accomplished, they should reflect the aspirations and expectations of the organisations.
Objectives are subsidiary to aims, they are steps needed to be taken to achieve the aim of the organisation, they must be focused and feasible, they should address the weaknesses of the organisation, they should be realistic, reasonable, able to be done within an amount of time and should be followed properly. They should not be too vague, ambitious or broad in scope.
EXAMPLE:
Aim * To critically assess the collection and disposal operations for bulky household waste in order to identify factors, which contribute to performance and technical efficiency
Objectives
* To critically assess bulky waste operations by local authorities, including volumes/types of materials arising and current disposal/recovery routes. * To classify and evaluate the operation of furniture recovery schemes nationally. * To make recommendations to improve the operational effectiveness of, and to maximise recovery opportunities of bulky waste collection.
JD SPORTS
AIM: To be the best brand ever
OBJECTIVES:
* To make products with good quality. * To make more outlets available where they are not available.
AIM: Profit optimization

LIVERPOOL FC

OBJECTIVES:
* To buy as many good players that can benefit the team as possible. * To train the players as best as they can.
AIM: Profit optimization * To sell as many tickets as possible. * To sell as many Liverpool football kits as possible.
SIMILARITIES
They both want to make profit: profit is the sole heart of a business that can keep it going. In Liverpool profit is needed to buy new players that can benefit the team and to also get the necessary equipments. In JD Sports profit is needed to employ more workers and to buy more machines in other to increase the amount of products made which at the end also increases profit.
DIFFERENCES
Liverpool wants to be the best football team ever while JD wants to be the best brand ever. Liverpool is a football team which has helped itself in realising its dream by buying new players, training them properly. While JD has helped itself by producing clothing’s and footwear’s and also selling other brands to help improve its market.
Liverpool is doing badly but not very badly because according to their aim they want to be the best football team ever, but for the fact that their rate of winning cups and league titles is very low with them winning 18 titles and five European cups in over 120 years of existence. They are also down in the premier league with no opportunity to win the league. JD is doing very well in their business as they want to be the best brand ever. They have made a lot of progress in recent years, attracting customers to their products due to the quality, price and design. Also selling the top products of other brands as well and are making a lot of profit as well as making a good result to their aim.
BUSINESS ACTIVITIES
Business activities are the day to day activities done by an organisation that help to make the aim of the organisation become a reality.
They are also the activities that the company engages in for the primary purpose of making profit, they include things like buying, selling, distributing, producing, making researches, and loads of others depending on the sole aim and purpose of the organisation. They are also called business operations. For example the business activities of a restaurant will be to make researches on the type of food to make, test what nutrients it can give out, check if it can affect some people, and conduct an opinion poll on the new food to be
produced.
LIVERPOOL
* Scouting: This helps them to find very good players who have not been noticed, which they train and use to improve their team. * Training: The players of the team are also trained daily to keep them fit for the game. * Buy new players: They buy new players which they feel can help them improve their team.
JD SPORTS * Research: They make researches that will help them in producing what would benefit the people and also give them profit. * Opinion poll: They should find out the opinion of the public on any product that they want to produce. * Production: They have to produce the goods that will be sold out to the public. * Distribution: The items produced will have to be distributed to other outlets to be sold.
ETHICAL ISSUES
An Ethical issue is a problem or situation that requires an individual or organisation to choose between alternatives that are right (ethical) or wrong (unethical). They are issues that involve systematizing, defending, and recommending concepts of right and wrong conducts. For example embryonic stem cells offer hope for new therapies, but their use in research has been hotly debated because of some ethical issues like the duty to prevent or alleviate suffering from the unborn and the duty to respect the value of human life.
