Many would agree with the notion that abortion is necessary in certain situations and that is the right thing to do to in order to move on. If a woman was raped and it resulted in an unwanted pregnancy, an abortion would be seen as the appropriate option because it was imposed upon her. Yet, whilst I sympathise, I remain of the belief that abortion is wrong as there are numerous ways through which women who have become pregnant through abuse can seek assistance. What matters is the future potential and ability of that child. Abortion grants the female the opportunity to exercise her personal authority, but what if the baby had a voice?
