Is America's Gift To My Generation
America’s Gift to my Generation is that we can walk out of our houses and not be afraid to die at any second. In some countries, people have to live their life in constant fear of dying. A great gift is, that Americans don’t have to live in constant fear of dying in countries such as Bolivia, and Afghanistan do to their government in conflict with other countries. Yes america does have conflict with other countries but it isn't to the point that we are so terrified of dying because of the people that live world, and the way that people think on how to sabotage other people's lives for something probably so little that isn’t that big a deal that is turned into a huge one. In countries such as Afghanistan, and Bolivia there are people

Only a scare amount of people are destined to be the President of the United States, to be astronauts, to be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, or to find a cure for a terminal disease. All of us are capable of significant accomplishments and achievements throughout each of our lives. As Mother Teresa or St. Teresa of Calcutta states this quote, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love,” it signifies extreme importance through society in which people accomplish things rather large or small; love is always present during the accomplishments not matter the size of the achievement. Not everyone is exposed, or afforded, the opportunity to do great things; whether fame, money, or motivation tend to get in the…

First of all, we have a lot of freedom. We have freedom of religion where we can practice our religions in public. We can also read and learn about these religions. We also have Freedom of speech. We can voice our varying opinions about topics such as politics. We also have the freedoms to watch and and eat what we want. While this is not as important as the first two, I feel that it is still important. Next, as Americans we are mostly generous. We tend to reach out to people in need throughout the world. One such way was World war II as the allies. We also help people within our own country. During 9/11 many people gave money, food, and help to charities to help pay for expenses and clear debris. Many people now give money, work, or goods to homeless people or neglected animals. Because the United States has a lot of culture, I am also proud. We compose our own music and write our own songs. Many immigrants can bring culture from their home country and those things may become popular here. Compared to many countries including Burkina Faso, Rwanda, and Sri Lanka, our country is certainly lucky. Most Americans have homes and food, and all have access to clean…

I grew up in an all-white neighborhood in the 1960s, in Annapolis, MD. The only caveat to that was that there were many families of the Jewish faith there also. The neighborhood was one of the few of the time open to “Jews”. I was not aware of the restrictions common to that time. Many of my friends and those of my middle brother were Jewish. My brother had friends who were black from grade school. I never thought anything of the superficial differences in some of our friends because they were simply friends and we all played like kids, innocent of the adult prejudices. Children have to be taught to be racists by their parents.…
