If the killing isn’t for protection against a bigger evil, I don’t think it is permissible to kill However, if I had to choose to kill one person in my family to save the rest, there is no way in my mind that I would think that this is morally permissible. Even if it were the only way to save myself, I wouldn’t want to do it because I know it is wrong.
