In terms of technology, I cannot say that I am an expert nor am I ignorant to its uses and benefits. Technology is everywhere and makes life more appealing and easier to the human living in the 21st century. Everywhere we go, everything we do; technology is there. With the rapid advancement of technology, humans have been able to simplify complex systems that were once considered daily challenges. Without a doubt technology has helped the human race accomplish some of the most groundbreaking work in the world; however, technology has as many harmful aspects as it does benefits; therefore, individuals should become less dependent on it, whilst acknowledging the contribution it has towards medical defects and how it is socially crippling today's younger generation.
What wakes you up in the morning? Your mom, wife, husband, siblings, an alarm clock, or a body clock? Most people, myself included, rely on the loud agitating sound of a ringing alarm clock. If it were not for these handy devices, some of us would still be in our cozy beds when we should actually be at another location. When an important event is coming up the first course of action, is to quickly make note of it in a calendar, whether in a smartphone, on a tablet or a tangible calendar.
Two days ago, I was speaking to my sister, who is currently attending university in Florida, USA. She was telling me how frustrated she was because she had misplaced an individual assignment worth 40% of her final grade. Then I told her to check the calendar on her tablet just in case she had written it there. Without a doubt, she had. Even though she could have approached her instructor, had she not recorded the assignment she possibly would have not been able to complete it.
