Many things are associated with terrorism but the one thing everyone ties it back to is Islam. Many terrorist attacks have been carried out by radical Muslims, who believe they are doing the right thing under the rule of jihad. Because of this most of people perception comes from ignorance and the failure to understand what this religion is truly about. One of the reasons Islam is perceived as a threat is because of the history built between Islam and Christianity. For example, the crusades, which occurred in the medieval times, the Muslims and the Christians have been fighting for control of the holy land, Jerusalem.
