Isp’s Report In Brunei Darussalam

In Brunei Darussalam there are two main ISPs. The earliest ISP that monopolized in Brunei is BruNet, which recently have corporate company name TelBru (under BruNet department). The first ADSL in brunet has speed range from 512Kbit/s to the Maximum speed 1Mbit/s as In Year 2006 for 1Mbit/s priced at BND$308 per month.

From time to time the monthly rental price has decreased due to the competition from other isps Cited From tebru's website ref: http://www.telbru.com.bn/product-and-services/personal/telbru-broadband/e-speed

DST COM
Data Stream Telecommunication or known as DST is established in 1995. which provides the country's mobile services for 2G, 2.5G and 3.5G in providing Mobile Broadband on HSPA Broadband network capable of supporting download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps. It has reached another milestone in providing Blackberry service.

Conclusion

From My research/ Findings, out of 10 random internet users, 80% of them using Espeed as their ISP and the remaining Using Dst. This Show that majority of Bruneian still subscribing the earliest ISP. Even in Brunei there are 2 more Internet service provider. Some of the reasons that they stated because of the reasonable pricing plans and its reliability.
