Both stories have unique tones that are expressed using unknown words, but the tones are not at all the same. In both stories there are big problems. The tone helps express these problems. Also, the tone is affected in the story by the unknown words used. These unknown words make the reader conclude what is happening making the reader dig deeper into the problem. These are ways the tones are similar. Even though there are many similarities in the tone, there are some differences. Overall, the tones are different. In the Lorax there is a tone with lots of sorrow from the recent events. While, in the Jabberwocky the tone is that of death and worry of the Jabberwocky. In this way the tones are similar with an overall difference.
Both stories create big themes. The themes are a lot alike in the story. In both stories the author teaches how you should never take things for granted. Whether it's your life or trees it is all the same. In the stories the characters go through many different events, and many different morals. In this way the theme is different, but the stories still overall convey the same message. This is the reason the themes are alike.
