As a chief, Ralph makes sure to help everyone to try and be rescued and to be healthy. He is the only one who ends up building shelters with Simon for everyone else. He is the one who thought of the fire to flag ships down to save them. He focuses on everyone’s needs like food and water and makes sure the coconut shells are a rule for them to be filled. He doesn’t just focus on one priority, such as what Jack did with hunting. Jack didn’t prioritize anything else but hunting which left people sleeping in the rain. For a soccer team, it is selfish of a player to only play for themselves. Not passing the ball, and letting the team down for not listening and communicating. If a teammate of mine took the ball up to goal on her own and ended up losing it, the whole team would be disappointed. As a soccer team, they all play as one. Not meaning they play for themselves, to rack up as many goals as they can. They play for the team by passing the ball and checking to make a run. When everyone thinks of another, they play well instead of losing the ball and disappointing the team when they play for themselves. In Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, Ralph would be the chief I would choose. The organization and consideration of others that Ralph characterized is important. Keeping the tribe in line with the rules and thinking of the needs for everyone is what keeps the world turning. Just like in soccer, a player or thinks of others
