Jackie Psycho Persuasive Speech
On January 20th, Jackie Evancho stood on the steps of the U.S capitol and sang the national anthem for the incoming 45th President Donald Trump. Being able to sing the star spangled banner for the inauguration is quite the honor but Jackie received all sorts of feedback for representing Donald Trump. Throughout his campaign Donald had made anti-women claims and statements. Many people believe that performing for Trump amounts to some kind of capitulation to the anti-American ideals of the Trump campaign and transition. A day after the Inauguration a Women’s march packed the United States so there was a lot of controversy towards why Jackie would represent our President. Understanding the situation and the opportunity to represent the U.S, the lyrics of the National Anthem as well as the manner in which it is performed by Jackie Evancho misrepresents our country’s opinions and values regarding freedom and patriotism. Politics is a huge factor in our country that makes …show more content…
People think that she performed on behalf of the country and not herself. The main reason that Evancho performed was for publicity and more money. After announcing that she would perform at the Inauguration her weekly album sales quadrupled. Donald Trump wrote a tweet saying “Jackie Evancho's album sales have skyrocketed after announcing her Inauguration performance. Some people just don't understand the Movement.” Former TV network executive Scot Safon told FOX411 that “Any time an album's sales 'skyrocket' there are a lot of reasons for it, but being referenced a lot in the news cycle is a great way to remind people you have an album out there,” Safon said. “I think that anything that put her in the news helped move her music and the inauguration announcement certainly did that." Jackie was aware of the opportunity she had to make money and went against her beliefs along with her sisters beliefs to

Today I am pitching the latest movie that I have written so that I may convince you that it will be a box office success. My latest film is titled Kill Bill and it is a combination of the martial arts, thriller, and action genres. The film follows a female protagonist, simply known as the Bride, who has been put in to a coma on the day of her wedding by a group of assassins whom she used to belong to and the leader of which, a man named Bill, she was formerly romantically involved with. Four years later, the protagonist awakes from her coma and embarks on a journey of revenge, in which she targets each of the assassins who attempted to kill her. The film explores the backstory behind the main character and the group of assassins she formerly belonged too.…

Lately there have been a lot of break-ins and armed robberies in Jimboomba by ‘teenagers’. They’ve been demanding money from store clerks, some with knifes, baseball bats, and anything in between. To be honest I do not find the joy in doing such a thing, I believe that if you work hard enough to earn a living you will feel as if you have done well in this life and honestly I wouldn’t feel good knowing I have someone else’s hard earned money all to myself. I know that some of the crimes committed aren’t so bad, but the teens should be punished to learn from their mistakes, I believe that by doing so it will cause the community to feel safer and engage the government to make Jimboomba a better place to live.…

In Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God by Jonathan Edwards, he delivers rhetorical devices to persuade his audience. The rhetorical devices he conveys to create a persuasive speech includes : metaphor, figurative language, and analogy to create a stylistic device to illustrate his audience that he warn people of their condemnation . Edwards point of view throughout this speech was to create this imagery full of misery what God can do. In addition, he wants us to create this image that there is no end to this exquisite horrible misery. Nothing we can accomplish to escape this world of cruelty. Nothing we can execute to escape this world of cruelty.…

Someone once said, “who said you can’t let people scare you. You can’t go your whole life trying to please everyone else. You can’t go through life worried about what everyone else is going to think. Whether it’s your hair, clothes, what you have to say, how you feel, what you believe and what you have. You can’t let the judgment of others stop you from being you. Because if you do, you're no longer you. You're someone everyone else wants you to be.” Nobody thought that Seabiscuit was good enough to race but in reality they just did not understand him. Once Red Pollard, Tom Smith, and Charles Howard bought Seabiscuit and started using frontier training methods he learned a lot more and started winning. Imagine getting a call from your child’s school telling you your child has a fever. Like most parents you would probably give your child some Tylenol and let them sleep it off. One mother did just that. Rebecca Hendricks received that call from her daughter's school around 2:30 p.m. in December of last year. The school nurse called to report Scarlett Anne had a temperature and needed to be picked up from school. Scarlett’s mother Mrs. Hendricks then brought her 5-year-old home, gave her Tylenol, fixed her a bowel of hot soup and let her rest on the couch. Within two days, Scarlett Anne seemed to be improving. She ate cereal for breakfast, then curled up on the couch with her mother to watch cartoons. Within half an hour Scarlett Anne was asleep. While asleep her mother became concerned by her labored breathing, her mother then woke her up, dressed her in pajamas, and rushed her to the emergency room. Three and half hours later, the little girl with beautiful blue eyes was dead. The CDC estimates that up to 20% of the population gets sick from the flu each year. Of that percent indicated only 40% are regularly vaccinated against the flu. Sadly, Scarlet Anne did not receive a vaccine that could have saved her life.…

For centuries, a president’s inaugural address has held profound importance, and is expected to be a memorable one. John F. Kennedy’s in particular, was one of the most touching and inspiring inaugural addresses in our country’s history and it continues to be analyzed in classrooms, articles, and on television today. His words gained the people’s confidence that he had a positive future in store for America, and his moving statements kept the attention on him captivated. His uses of rhetorical strategies caused his arguments to be emphasized as well as considered, and he was able to say so much without boring those listening. He not only demonstrated the commitment that he was willing to make for the good of America, but he also encouraged citizens to join him in his effort. Regardless of the many methods Kennedy used to create his outstanding Address, the tone in which it was told is the most powerful one he used to win the crowd and earn their respect. His use of tone is effective in achieving his purpose- that those witnessing the speech desire to unite with Kennedy and overcome the common obstacles that faced their country together.…

I absolutely had to use a photo of Princess Diana because I was a huge fan of hers. I remember watching her wedding on television when I was a young child, and I cried like a baby when she met her untimely demise. I don't recall every crying like that when a celebrity died, but she was my heroine and I loved her! Since then I've kept up with the ins and outs of the Royal Family and the shenanigans of Prince Harry, my now favorite Prince. He is a Princess Diana reincarnated in the male form. Lives by his own rules and with not a care in the world. Madison and I were able to visit the Madame Tussauds London museum while on our trip to London just recently, thanks to the kind folks of Merlin Entertainment. Since this is most likely the only way we'll ever get to the meet the Royal Family we just had to do it. Now if you're thinking all wax museums are the same, well Madame Tussauds London is on a whole new level of awesome. I've…
