Jason Mraz: The Next Time Person of the Year
Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Mark Zuckerberg, what do these three men have in common? They all had the ability to do astounding things and win the title of Time person of the year. Born June 23, 1977 in Mechanicsville Virginia Jason Mraz a singer, songwriter, avocado farm owner, and musician has managed to touch the hearts of millions. Jason Mraz should be crowned Time person of the year due to his ability to give back, follow his dreams as a musician, and inspire people with his beautiful lyrics.
The first reason I believe Jason Mraz should be Time person of the year, is his ability to give back to the community. Jason is a proud supporter of VH1’s save the music foundation. The VH1’s save the music foundation is a foundation that helps enhance the music experience in local schools. In 2010 he received the clean water award from Surfrider foundation for his work to clean up earths waterways. Later that year Jason published a P.S.A. (Public Service Announcement) using his hit song “I’m Yours” to raise awareness about non-profit organizations efforts to protect the earth.
Next he doesn’t care what anyone says. No matter what happens he will always follow his dreams. He attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. He soon dropped out to pursue his dreams as a musician. He started his music career at Java Joes in San Diego. He soon moved on to selling out stadiums and becoming a famous musician.
Soon he released his first single “Geek in Pink”. It was Jason’s first song to hit the U.S. Billboard Pop 100 at 90. His first major hit was “I’m Yours” With 76 week on the Hot 100 Billboard it holds the record for most weeks spent on the chart. It is to this very day the eighth best selling digital song in the U.S. selling nearly 6 million downloads. Jason’s latest hit is “ I Wont Give Up” released January 3, 2012. “I Won’t Give Up” is currently number eight on the U.S. Hot 100

Khalifa was born on September 8, 1987 in Minot, North Dakota, to a mother and a father serving in the military. His parents divorced when he was about three years old. His parents' military service caused him to move regularly: Khalifa Over the next thirteen years, he would move between Pittsburgh and South Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma, Germany, Japan, and England as his parents were reassigned to different posts. In October of 1990, Wiz was separated from his mother, who left him in the hands of her sister while she served in Operation Desert Storm. During his travels, Wiz was forced to mature quicker than his peers did. He was constantly faced with new surroundings, new schools, and new sets of friends, and he found it difficult to become attached to anyone outside his family roots. This nomadic life gave Wiz an opportunity, though, to broaden his mind and offered him many experiences from which to draw inspiration. He began to perceive the world differently than most kids, and he would write his thoughts down every day. These thoughts would become the foundation for his future recordings. He ended up settling in Pittsburgh where he went to Taylor Allderdice High School.…

On May 23, 1958, I was born in Passaic, New Jersey. And now, I am a 55 year old American best-selling author, journalist, screenwriter, dramatist, radio, television broadcaster and also a musician. I am Mitchell David Albom, which is also known as Mitch Albom. I lived in Buffalo when I was small but then I settled down in Oaklyn, New Jersey, which is close to Philadelphia. I grew up in a small, middle-class neighbourhood from which most people never left the neighbourhood. I am glad that I have such supportive parents which they used to say “Don’t expect your life to finish here. There’s a big world out there. Go out and see it.” So I attended high school in Southern New Jersey and then I moved to Waltham, Massachusetts to continue my studies in Brandeis University for bachelors in sociology. I spent a few years working in night clubs to pursuit my dream of becoming a musician. I’ve joined various bands in high school and college.
